MiX Telematics to participate in leading Cold Chain expo

MiX Telematics Middle East will be exhibiting at the Asia Cold Chain Show in Bangkok, Thailand. This leading ASEAN Cold Logistics show, which is taking place from 27 – 29 April, will highlight the growth shown by the cold chain business in ASEAN and create ample opportunities for professionals from cold chain and logistics sectors to come together with end-user industries. In 2016, this event featured 80 exhibiting companies showcasing over 250+ solutions with 5,814 attendees from 34 countries. This year’s event promises to be even bigger.

Driver safety in the spotlight at New Orleans conference

MiX Telematics Americas Executive Vice President Sales, Pete Allen, has been invited to discuss the topic, “Six Essential Elements to Ensure Safe Driving in Oil & Gas,” at the SPE Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Social Responsibility Conference taking place in New Orleans from 18 – 20 April. This conference brings together Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professionals for knowledge sharing, learning and networking with experts from industry, government, and academia to share insights and best practices. The event will include presentations and discussions to help attendees address the health, safety, security, and environmental challenges facing the Energy and Petroleum industry.



Europe’s largest paper and cardboard recycler chooses MiX to deliver great benefits

Caerphilly-based DS Smith Recycling, Europe's largest paper and cardboard recycler, has turned to MiX Telematics to further improve the efficiency of its fleet. The results have been outstanding, with improved results already evident such as a 57% reduction in harsh braking events and an overall fuel performance improvement of 1.6%. In addition to the gains achieved through the fleet management solution, MiX has also provided a consultancy service such as a bespoke workshop programme to engage DS Smith’s drivers.

Learn more about MiX DriveMate

Over the past few weeks, MiX Telematics UK has run an extensive campaign to introduce the MiX DriveMate solution and the benefits of this real-time driver feedback tool. In a nutshell, MiX DriveMate is an in-vehicle display that alerts drivers in real-time about their driving habits through a system of seven LED lights. If a driver does not self-correct, then a warning tone sounds.

View all the action at King of the Road prize giving event

MiX Telematics’ King of the Road driver management programme in South Africa held a prize-giving event at its customer Unitrans’ Hulref Sugar Refinery on 30 March 2017. The programme addresses all aspect of driver behaviour from adjusting driving style to productivity and improved safety measures. The programme is run in English and isiZulu, two of the eleven official languages in South Africa, and is customised per industry. 

The winning Unitrans drivers were Sadean Maharajh, Charles Memela and Raymond Gasman. Special congratulations to the top female driver, Hanjison Mtolo!
